~Did Some Decorating~

Happy Friday everyone! Just a quick post on this Friday the 13th~Yikes! We had some snow today finally! I know that sounds so silly to some of you but I feel like we didn't even have a winter here. Not many nights to just sit inside and watch the snow fall, which I enjoy doing when there is nowhere to go and no place to be. But today was a snowday and we spent the day inside together! I did a little decorating on my doughboard and tabletop bench. Not sure if everything will stay this way but it is fun experimenting! I am sure I will get some questions on the doughboard from some of my family members~like "you mean you have to move that everytime you want to cook something"? "Won't that be a pain"? Well I know the answer to that......"I guess we will just have to eat out"! Haha! Just kidding, I am excited to finally have one and I will be happy to move it over to the bar in our kitchen when I need to use the stove. Or into my bedroom on the bed when we have people over and need the counter space. No biggy to me! Here are some pictures~I tried both pieces with fabric and without fabric, I guess I just thought the fabric softened everything a little. And if you'll notice I am trying to "Think Spring" with the bunny and chick on my doughboard! :) Like I said just having fun experimenting!

Have a great weekend everyone! Happy Valentine's Day! Until next time. Take care. ~Sarah~

  1. Tweaking those diplays are half the fun!! I have gotten very creative about cooking things in the microwave so I don't have to move my dough board! LOL Looks before function - right?

Have a great weekend and Happy Valentine's Day! Hugs, Linda

  2. I have to move mine to the bar too:) I don't mind at all either.
Love the table how the sides come down low. Your father did a great job,
    Have a happy ~3~ day!

  3. I love your doughboard. It looks WONDERFUL!! Your little chick and bunny definitely get me ready for spring : )

    Have a great weekend.

  4. Hi Sarah-
    Both pieces are so nice!
    Love your gatherings...
Have a great weekend and Happy Valentines day!

  5. Everything looks wonderful. I love how the dough board looks and the bunny and chick are so sweet. I move my doughboard, too, but it doesn't bother me at all. Happy Valentine's Day and have a great weekend.

  6. Hi Sarah! I love your gatherings! You did such a great job on the finishing of both pieces! I don't have a doughboard and that's because Hubby cooks alot and it's hard telling where it would end up! I do have a cutting board that almost covers the stove so I can use it when I want to decorate it. Have a great weekend!

  7. YOu know I love them all decked out!...Great job "Dad" and kuddos to you for the wonderful primitive finish on them!

  8. Sarah,
They both look prim perfect all decorated!! Love them...and the bunny and chick sure makes me want Spring to come.
    Have a great weekend.

  9. You did a fantastic job primming up those awesome items your dad made!
I don't mind moving my dough board either...I also use mine over the sink to obtain extra counter space!
You and your Dad are quite a crafting team!

  10. Hi Sarah, they look great!! My husband made me my doughboard and I don't mind moving it at all but he does lol He likes to cook and everytime he moves it he says "explain to me why I made this again" lol

I love the fabric with the pics!!! The bunny and chic are very cute too!

Thank you so much for visiting & for taking the time to leave a comment. I appreciate and enjoy each & every one! ~Sarah~
