Happy Monday everyone! I know I just blogged yesterday, but I thought I would pop back in today and share my new (old) treasures from the antique mall yesterday. And I took a couple pictures of my two small makeovers. I warn you, they are small, nothing major!
Here is a sign that I got at the antique mall. The color was perfect and I knew right where it was going to go when I got it home~
I got this jug and this crock, I LOVE the finish on both of them! The speckles and crackles. I always wonder, who owned these and how did they use them? If they could only talk!
Here they are with a tiny festive Fall touch. Haha~
If you are wanting one of the great wooden dough boards I use in so many of my displays they are made by Lisa She makes them in two sizes! Just shoot her an email if you are interested!
Close up~
Peek A Boo Pumpkin again~
I got this large crock bowl. It is 12” across and really deep!
It was a FUN trip to the antique mall! My hubby and I always have fun wandering the aisles going back in time!
Here are my makeovers, the first one is rather boring but completely functional. I have been wanting to get it done forever and I finally made the time.
A wooden letter holder that I got from Goodwill for $4. The light blue flowers… have got to go Bye Bye!

This is a small bench that cost me nothing~ Can’t beat FREE~
Before~
Not sure this is where it is staying. The lighting was not good for my pictures. But it is base coated black with some red. I wasn’t happy with the way it turned out so… after seeing Colleen’s colorful blog post I painted Burnt Sienna over the top of the whole thing. Sanded and stained it with dark walnut. Love ,the color now. But like I said the pictures aren’t a very true color.

So in a nutshell, that is what I have been up to over the past few days! It’s just that time of year when it is fun to decorate your home in wonderful Fall colors, go to craft fairs, antique shops and squeeze in a couple of makeovers!
Have a great day doing whatever it is that you decide to do! Maybe you have no plans whatsoever, and sometimes those can be the best days of all!
Until next time, take care.
~Sarah~

Love your new finds, Sarah! I always love to see your makeovers, too. You do such a great finish job. I would have tired of painting inside all of those cubby holes in the letter box, but it looks wonderful! Enjoy your week. I'm loving this nice weather!

Fabulous finds! I have a crock bowl exactly like yours although sad to say mine is in much poorer condition (big chip out of the lip). Do you know anything about these bowls? No markings on mine and I couldn't really find any info on the net. I am glad I found your blog, thanks for following me on Twitter, I'm following you back and am now following your blog as well. Wonderful makeovers as well, I love both of them! Thanks for sharing your lovely pictures. Deb
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, great finds!! I have recently gotten interested in crocks. I had several and now I have several more. 8-) In fact I have a bowl just like yours that I have had for years.

Hope you're havin' a great day, Sarah♥
Nice finds at the antique mall. Love the finishes on those crocks also.
ReplyDeleteWonderful makeovers! The organizer turned out really nice. Definitely a piece that could go in any room. I love organizing and having neat little containers like this to play with. Fun, fun! The bench turned out wonderful! Great idea to put the burnt sienna on top of it. It looks great with that little display.
I have enjoyed catching up on your blog and seeing all the wonderful things you have been up to. Thanks so much for sharing~
