~A Yummy Yankee & A Recipe To Share~

Hello everyone! I know I know....don't fall out of your chairs. ME....blogging again, so soon!!?? :) Just wanted to make a quick post and share a couple of things!

The first thing I want to share is my new Yankee Candle. The other day it was a cold, misty day. Perfect day to stay inside and finish up my Fall decorating. I lit my new Candle.....and boy was I NOT dissapointed! I am usually a loyal Spiced Pumpkin or Harvest Yankee fan...but I decided to try something new. It is called Cozy Home. If you try it you won't be dissapointed if you like these kinds of Autumn scents. To me it is almost like all of my favorite scents rolled into one~

The next thing I want to share is a "recipe". Well....I don't know if you can really call it a recipe. Some of you may already make this but for those of you who don't it is a VERY simple treat that is a staple munchy in our home beginning in October! It is just a bag of candy corn and a large jar of salted peanuts. And there you have it....it tastes like a Salted Nut Roll candy bar! Our family loves it. Obviously this snack would not be good for small children, both of these ingredients could pose a choking risk, but all of our children are old enough to dig in! We just leave it out in a big bowl, it doesn't last long and it is very addicting! Enjoy~
You all have a wonderful day! Next time I will share more Fall decorating photos and a Spicy Chex Mix recipe given to me by a very special friend that we make EVERY year in the Fall and Winter months! SO yummy! Until
next time take care. ~Sarah~

  2. I love candy corn and peanuts...so this should tastle yummy!
I love autumn scents...I just hate to light candles because it always causes a soot stain on my walls...so I scoop it out of the candle jar and use it in my tart melter. I will go out this weekend and try this scent.
There is something special about coming into the home, on a cool autumn day, and those wonderful aromas!
    Have a great weekend!

  4. "Cozy Home" sounds right up my alley, Sarah! I have Autumn Wreath and Harvest at the ready this time of year. I may have to check that scent out for next year.

  5. Have really missed your posts....so good to hear from you and share in your fall decorating. Will make the "recipe" tomorrow. I will also check out the new candle. We need to let Janene know that the soy candles do not smoke or soot things up. I am pretty amazed at how clean they burn especially the 1803 candle line....fragrances are awesome! Have a good Sunday and will look forward to your next post and recipe. Thanks for sharing! Sherrie

  9. Hi Sarah,
I've never heard of mixing the candy corn with peanuts but I'm certainly going to try it!

I tried to find the Cozy Home but where they sell Yankee candles around here they didn't have it or at another place...darn! I'll keep looking though!

Love your fall decorating so very nice!

  10. Soy candles are my favorite and I love the scent Warm Vanilla Sugar that my favorite prim shop carries. They smell good enough to eat.
I'm definitely going to try your snack mix. I love candycorn and peanuts just never thought of eating them together.
Enjoy your week and thanks for all the great pics you have posted.
