A Few Things To Share

Another rainy Fall day here today. Great day to take it easy and watch some football. I haven't posted for a little while because we had a visitor from a "little" virus named H1N1. :( Everyone but me has or had it. Some are on the mend and some are still fighting the cough that seems to linger forever. I am crossing my fingers that I can continue to stay healthy. Do you hear that sound??....that is me knocking on wood.
I purchased a Halloween pinkeep from Lisa. I ordered it and two days later it was in my mailbox! Thanks Lisa, I love it and I was SO excited that I could get it before Halloween...you are speedy!
I hung it off of one of my cutting boards~

I also thought I would share my new dishes! I am so excited to use these for Thanksgiving and Christmas! They are a great neutral color called Mocha. By now I think you all know how much I love browns, reds, mustards, black...all the rich, dark colors are my favorite.

Here are my heirloom pumpkins! Aren't they great?! I had visions of putting these into my wooden wheelbarrow with some straw, berries, gourds etc. But with the family being sick and it being so wet and rainy out that hasn't happened. Maybe before Thanksgiving I will get them displayed. But for now here they are all wet and drippy!

I love to imagine these displayed on a huge farmhouse table with real bittersweet, leaves and candles running all down the table.

That is about it for today. I hope you are all doing well and staying away from all of the nasty germs that are floating around out there. My best friends right now are...... Hand Sanitizer, Clorox Wipes, Bleach...you get the picture! Until next time, take care. ~Sarah~

  5. Isn't this flu something? I hope you stay well -- I'm so neurotic that I carry that hand sanitizer with me everywhere, since there is no vaccine available yet! Hope everyone feels better real soon!

  7. WOW...I really hope your family gets better real soon. And I pray that you don't get it. There is so much talk about it on the internet, TV, newspapers and even the schools. Here in Canada the Gov't they approved it this week for everyone to receive the vaccination for free. It is so scarry I find and makes us all a bit paronoid.

I really LOVE your pinkeep. Lisa makes wonderful things :)

I also own the same dishes. They are not as prim as I would wish but boy are they good to have for big meals. They hold ALOT of food :)

Have a great rest of the weekend.
