:: Planting Flowers ::

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday! It is a beautiful day here, the sun is shining, a bit of a chilly breeze is blowing & we had a couple nice rainstorms move through last night & this morning. Which is great for my plants! I thought I would share some (well a lot) of photos of my plants that I recently got all potted!

It felt so good to get some dirt under my nails & arrange all of the different plants that I brought home. A very relaxing Sunday project for me!

THEN on Monday my hubby called me & said he saw THIS sign at the greenhouse….so of course I had to go back for more flowers to pretty up our back deck! Thanks for the tip honey!

Here is what I chose for the deck, I stuck with the same color scheme as I used on the front of the house. At 50% off I got the two pots too!

I can’t wait until the red geraniums bloom!

And here is our deck this morning after the rain. My hubby just stained our deck a couple of weekends ago, it looks so nice! Great job done!

And last but not least, I went with a red, white & blue flower theme this year…so I hung a slate flag & a grapevine wreath on our door.

I hope you all enjoyed my little outdoor tour. I am crossing my fingers that I can keep all of these plants alive through all of the weather conditions mother nature may throw our way! Hot, hot sun, WIND & driving rain etc. Wish me luck, my thumb isn’t too green!

A little “garden” quote…words to live by:

"If we make our goal to live a life of compassion and unconditional love, then the world will indeed become a garden where all kinds of flowers can bloom and grow." ~Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Until next time, take care.

  1. Sarah,
    I love all your potted flowers. I too have decorated in red, white and blue outside.
    I think the half price deal was a no brainer.
    I would have bought some even if I didn't need them. I have been a follower of yours for a while now. I posted some photos of our farm and not all my flowers had bloomed yet. They are blooming now and I had put out all my pots too. I hope to post those pics later. Stop over to my blog if you want.

  10. My husband picked up a 10 gallon crock from an estate sale recently and I had no idea what to do with it. Love the idea of dropping some plants in it. You've inspired me to pick some mums soon and place a few in my crocks :)

    Love your blog, have a great day. ~Valerie
