Hello everyone! Thought I would share some pictures of some treasures that I found at the antique mall yesterday. My hubby and I took some time and just wandered for a while. It was a fun, relaxing time! It is so great that it is something we enjoy doing together!
I was on the hunt for some vintage cookie cutters. I was inspired by Jenn. She has an adorable collection of antique cookie cutters. You can visit her blog HERE. It was fun sifting through old bowls and crocks at the antique shop, some cutters definitely caught my eye. I love the old, worn, used look and the little “hit” of red color on the wooden handles.
Can’t wait to find more cookie cutters! I think I am addicted! :)
I also found some old printers letters. Loving these!
I picked up a couple of crocks to add to my collection. These sit on the shelf that is above our deck doors in our kitchen.
I absolutely love crocks with marks and stains, they have so much character and it makes me wonder who used them and what they were used for. Walking around the antique mall always makes me think that I am in a huge building surrounded by people’s memories and lives. How did all of those things arrive there, who gave them up and where will they go from here?
I think it is a wonderful thing that there are people that preserve these things so that people like me can cherish them, use them and enjoy them now!
I hope you have all had a super weekend. We are in for some snow in the very near future. Under a winter storm watch. Our kids are crossing their fingers for a snow day or two so we will see!
Until next time, take care.

Great post, glad you got some nice things at the antique mall! Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteLove your new goodies! Of course the crocks are great but the old printers letters make wonderful bowl fillers like that. What a neat idea!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week! hugs, Linda
Love your bowl of cutters! I am addicted to cookie cutters! Mostly hearts and rabbits, but anything tin with some great patina will melt my heart! They are something fun to collect, not too expensive and don't take up much room - LOL! Love your print letters! They are fun! And of course the crocks. I love how you have them above your door. The great thing about them is they are all unique in their own way and if they could talk...
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Jayne
Never thought to decorate with old cookie cutters. They look great sitting in your bowl! I found some old metal print letters in an antique shop in Colorado in 2007, managed to spell out my last name. Good thing it's only four letters so I didn't have to spend hours sifting through letters. :) Your crock collection looks great!
ReplyDeleteWell we got our snow day! I really like those letters! Did you buy them out or were there any more left? You've been finding some great treasures lately!
ReplyDeleteI have a cookie cutter addiction too. Many, many, many years ago that was the first "old" thing I ever bought. I was addicted from the first one, lol! I have them in a big wooden bowl and an old glass jar and both of those are full. Gonna have to fill more jars.
ReplyDeleteThe old printers letters are awesome! That is an amazing collection! I have seen a few letters here and there, but never that many at once. I have a few "B"'s for my last name. They look so cute in my printer's box with my other miniatures. Your collection will be lots of fun to play with! =]
