Greetings my friends! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! We have had a quiet one. Our 16 year old daughter got all four wisdom teeth out on Friday. So we have been lazily watching movies and playing a few games. Pretty low key, which has actually been really nice. She is getting along fine, chipmunk cheeks & some discomfort but fine. :)
A roast, potatoes, carrots & onions are in the crock pot and the snow is finally falling! Our forecast sounds like a doozy so I guess we will be making up for the lack of a white Christmas. Fine with all of us, we have been waiting for a blanket of white for a long time now. It is so pretty I had to get out and take some photos.
Here it is coming down…Let it snow!
These are from around our house~

My hubby and I went for a drive, we found a trail area and I hopped out and snapped some photos!
It felt so amazing to get out and get some fresh air! Everything is so soft and white. Totally untouched. We are to get more snow tonight, tomorrow & Tuesday. I say, bring it on! We haven’t had much of a winter so far. I know some of you have had more than your fair share, so we are happy to take our turn. The kids would like to sled, make snow angels and throw a few snowballs! Oh and they are crossing their fingers for a snow day too!
Have a great evening.

Until next time, take care.

ReplyDeleteHi Sarah! Beautiful pictures. We have snow on the way here in NC. I hope its snow and less ice. I still cant get over how much our doggies look a like. What breed is he?
ReplyDeleteWe have had snow for a while now, but I don't really get sick of it. I love seeing it falling and how clean everything looks when it's covered in that white blanket.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep my fingers crossed for the kids about the snow day. The kids in my class are firm believers in wearing of pajamas inside-out. It hasn't worked yet this year, but the hope hasn't faded. :) Enjoy. And thanks for the nice pictures!
Enjoy the snow, I just love how it looks and the peacefulness of it. Glad to hear your daughter is doing well. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! We're big fans of winter too. We got a little snow this weekend but not as much as we would have liked. I hope your kids get their wish!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, Sarah! I love a new fallen snow. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your burst of Winter.
A new snowfall is so beautiful, and the quiet that comes with it is hard to describe. Your photos do a great job of summing up both! A great perscription to help with the healing process.
ReplyDeleteI delight in those low key weekends, aren't they grand?? They make for wonderful family time.
ReplyDeleteWe got our first snow of the winter today also. Except we don't have as much as you. I went out to get some pictures and it wasn't sticking, everything was just barely covered. It didn't matter to the kids, they were still excited. Your snow pictures are beautiful!
Have a fantastic week!
Well Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI'll be glad to let you all take your turn! LOL! I am glad you are having a nice weekend.
Take care,
Renee
I love the snow too!!! We do have a snow day tomorrow and let me tell you the kids are thrilled! With my new job at the high school, I get my first snow day too! I plan on stepping out and taking a few pictures as well...nature is beautiful this time of year.
ReplyDeleteWell you take care and hope that daughter of yours heals nicely, I had my 4 wisdom teeth removed when I was 16 and it was no fun, but its short lived!
Blessings~

I'm so glad to hear Emily is doing fine. Tell her I asked about her. Your snow pictures are so beautiful! Guess what?!! It's snowing here in South Carolina too and I am thrilled. I LOVE snow we don't get it very often so when we do it is so exciting. But all of us Southerner's need to stay home until it passes because as you know we can't drive in it!!!hahah Enjoy the snow day with the kids!

It looks so pretty but I'm glad I'm not in it. I grew up with plenty of the white stuff and I'm happy to be in California but we have been getting some cold weather and lots of rain. So sorry for your daughter. All 4 teeth at once ouch and so young. Wow better now I guess than later. Glad you all are mending and enjoying your time together. Looking forward to a new year filled with many blessings. Kathy C.
