Makeover Memory Lane

Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday! I haven’t posted since my Birthday! Yikes…I didn’t realize that it had been so long! It has been busy around here. Plus I have been trying to get caught up on housework and trying to get better organized. We all know that those things fall by the wayside when we are on our computers too much right?

I thought it would be fun to take a trip down “Makeover Lane”. I don’t know about any of you, but I am getting the itch to do makeovers again. And I do most of those in my garage. Because I learned real quick that doing them in my kitchen makes for a VERY dusty kitchen. All of that sanding and finishing doesn’t go over too well in the house. And my kids don’t enjoy the smell of stain too much! So hurry up Spring so we can get out there and be creative again! I have an entire shelf in my garage full of goodies just waiting to be transformed!

So here we go, just recapping a few..well quite a few of the makeovers I have done over the past year. Enjoy!

Whew……I never realized just how many makeovers I have done! This is not even HALF of them! It was fun for me to look back! I hope it was fun for all of you! I can’t wait to get out in the garage and get busy again!  I am ready to have stain under my fingernails and paint on my clothes! :)

Have a wonderful day everybody! Until next time, take care. ~Sarah~

  1. That is what I need, "makeover inspiration" to start again. I want spring temps, I need to complete some makeovers too.

  2. Great makeovers Sarah! I hear ya, I am ready for some warm sunny days and a can of spray paint!! I have quite a few things waiting for a makeover too!

  3. What great make overs! If you get a chance, pop over and check out my blog...My hubby made me something after watching me drool over your beautiful home. I have been following your blog and just love it.

  4. This is my kind of post! All of your makeovers turned out great!
And like everyone else I am waitng (not very patiently, I might add)to get out there are create some magic!
Thank you for getting me inspired to get off this computer and slap some paint on something, even if it is just my kids! Just kidding!

  5. Oh that was fun, Sarah! I'm with you ... it would be such a treat to get busy with stain and paint again. Soon.

  6. Sarah~
Such awesome things and look at the money you saved! I too am doing some makeovers and would love to hear from you about the steps you take in distressing the wood...I am new to this, but have confidence that it will turn out please let me know what you do in a step by step procedure to get the "olde" look. I had some awesome buys at GW just yesterday and I am so pumped to see how they turn out!
    Have a great day!

  7. Sarah,
All of your makeovers are fantastic. I have a few myself that I'm itching to get at but like you said, too messy in the house & way too cold outside. I guess one of these days I will have to put the heat on in the barn & get busy. Thanks so much for sharing.

  8. I enjoyed looking back at all of your past makeovers & looks forward to the ones to come!

  9. All of your makeovers have been inspiring Sarah. Its so nice to see what others make over. Sometimes it gives me an idea for something that I may otherwise pass up missing its potential all together.
I look forward to seeing what else you have to thrill us with. You do great work girl!

  10. I remember all these makeovers well and you are always an inspiration to me! Since we don't have a good thrift store around here I plan on hitting a lot of yard sales this spring. I can't wait to find some goodies and make them all primmed up too! Thanks for showing all those pictures in one spot-you are so awesome!

  11. Great walk down memory lane, Sarah! I know what you mean about having the itch to start working on makeovers again! We have kitchen cupboards that we want to start working on now that Chuck is feeling a better, but it's too darn cold out!

    Take care,

  12. I am right with ya as far as the weather is concerned. We don't have a garage so I have to use the back deck for makeovers. I have so many to do but have to wait for warmer weather!

  13. love all of the inspiration and did a fantastic job..going to the TS has never been so much fun..:)

  14. What a fun post! Inspiring, too. I had better get out to shop at the TS and GW before everything is sold to other followers of yours who are inspired by your creativity!

  15. Yes, that was a nice trip down memory lane...great makeovers. I can't wait 'til spring too!

  16. I have lots of stuff to makeover but haven't done any yet. Did I say I was totally new at this makeover stuff. It looks great but I find it scarey. Tips welcome.

  17. Love everything you have done! I love to do makeovers too. I think it's awesome to take something from trash to treasure! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

  18. Loved the trip down memory lane Sarah! ;-)

It was fun to see all those makeovers again, and all in one spot!!!
    Thanks for the trip!

    Prim Blessings,

  19. Loved looking at all your makeovers~ you are really good at it~!

  20. You have the best before and afters on the Internet!!

  21. Thanks for sharing your before and afters. I love them and can't wait to get out and find some to do of my own

  22. Wow, those are some great makeovers!...You paint and stain very well :-)...I have only done one makeover so far, but this post inspires me to find some more!

  23. The lighting in these rooms is so warm, cozy and inviting. You really know how to make a house a home! Beautiful. Keep up the good work!
