Village Candle Review & Giveaway!

Hello everyone! As promised I am back with a couple exciting candle reviews & a giveaway! Village Candle has given me the honor of reviewing two scents from their new Kitchen line.

Country Pine Cone & Cider Donut were delivered to my home. I couldn’t wait to get the box open, lift off the lids & smell them!

Village Candle Kitchen Review

The jars are great & the matte black lids are so nice! These creamy colored candles will compliment anyone’s decorating style. The labels are GORGEOUS! You can see the entire Kitchen line by clicking HERE. There isn’t a label or scent you won’t love.

The hardest decision for me was which one to light first. Cider Donut it is! For me this candle is about memories. When I opened the lid & smelled it cold I knew it was right up my alley. It smells sweet, warm & cozy. The label itself takes me back to the State Fair. Every Summer my Mom & Dad would take my best friend and I to enjoy the sights, sounds & smells. No trip was complete without a visit to the mini donut stand. Watching those tiny donuts go down the assembly line, drop into the fryer & then continue on down the conveyer belt to get a delicious coating of yummy sugar. I remember eating them hot, right out of the bag! This candle took me back there. I have said it before and I will say it again, it is so wonderful when the scent of a candle can transport you back to a special time & place. Those are memories I will never forget. And thanks to Cider Donut I can bring those memories into our home anytime I want.

Next up, Country Pine Cone. So many notes going on in this candle & they are all good! The label is what drew me to this candle. It is so beautiful. I love the photo, it goes perfectly with my decorating style & it gives me such a comforting, homey feeling. It fills our house with a scent perfect for anytime of year, not just for winter or holiday time. I know so many of you love to burn your pine scented candles all year long, this one is perfect with a blend of balsam fir, eucalyptus, sparkling mint, clove, cedar wood twigs, smoky birch & rich musk. This candle sets a scene in my mind of a log cabin home, man’s best friend curled up by the fireplace, a warm supper on the stove & a fun night of movies & board games. It just evokes the scent of a perfect cozy evening spent with family & friends.

It’s Been WAY Too Long

Hello everyone! Remember me? As the title of this posts says….It’s been WAY too long since I have blogged! I know that all of you can relate when I say that everyday busy life can get in the way of blogging. I miss it so much and have missed all of you!

The weather has been so amazing. We hardly had a “winter”. So that meant lots of outside time with the hubby, kids & dogs. And yes, I did say dogs (plural) some of you may know that we have a Silky Terrier named Carter. He is four years old. Three weeks ago we added a yellow lab to our family. His name is Weber (yes, he is named after my husband’s grill) What a great dog! He is fitting right in. He does keep us on the go even more than we were! We are all enjoying his playful puppy-ness!

I have been busy working on more salt dough bowl fillers. Blooms, Bees, Skeps, Rabbits, Carrots etc. It is already time to start on the Summer ones! Flags, Stars, Strawberries etc…whew. Just trying to keep ahead of the seasons is quite a challenge!

I have been spending a lot of time in the backyard letting our two pups get to know each other. So I grabbed my camera and took some photos of the Blooms that surround our home. We have had just the right amount of sun & rain, everything is just bursting!

Beauty is all around us this time of year. We have to capture it fast, unfortunately the beautiful blooms don’t last long. I hope you are all enjoying your flowers, bushes & trees this time of year.

I won’t be staying away from blogland for long. I am coming back soon with a couple candle reviews & a giveaway! I promise you, you will LOVE these brand new candles from my favorite candle company!
